OUR PROGRAMMES

 

 

Building Blocks Preschool is a newly developed educational facility equipped to meet the educational needs of children between ages 4 - 6 years old and prepare them for the start of formal education.

 

Glenda Pontes, founder of Building Blocks Preschool and educational facilitator, has worked very closely with other preschools and primary schools for a number of years.

 

She follows a programme advised by the Department of Education which incorporates the CAPS curriculum, designed to assist learners with a smooth transition into formal schooling and an opportunity to develop to their full potential in a happy environment conducive to optimal learning.

 

Glenda also has close contact with speech therapists and occupational therapists. 

 

Glenda offers a school/life-readiness programme which includes pre-reading, pre-writing and pre-maths skills, as well as music and movement, science and discovery tables, environmental awareness, outings and thorough evaluation as well as progress reports.
